Approach

I learned my camera in mosh pits at dive bars, shooting post-hardcore bands in rooms where nothing held still and nobody was posing for anything. That is still how I work. I would rather wait for the thing that actually happens than arrange one that does not.

We talk before we ever shoot. What you want out of it, what you would rather avoid, where you feel most like yourself. I am AuDHD, and a good deal of how I run a session comes from that: a clear plan, no surprises, and nobody asked to perform. Every client gets treated like a close friend, because that is the only way I know how to do it.

Fifteen years and more than 250 weddings later, the work now sits mostly in portraits, boudoir and family sessions. Same heart, different chapter. Along the way it has been picked up by The Knot, Newsweek, Narcity, San Antonio Current and Shotkit.
